Weekly Walking Groups

Running April 11th – May 30th

  • Monday Lunch Group (led by Monacella Massage & Kinesiology) 
    • When: Mondays 12:15PM – 12:45PM
    • Where: 4 Sassafras Pier Erie, PA
      • Meet in the lobby just outside Monacella Massage & Kinesiology before heading to the Bayfront Walking Trail as a group.
      • No registration necessary! Show up with your water bottle and comfy walking attire! 

  • Friday Morning Group (led by Monacella Massage & Kinesiology) 
    • When: Fridays 8AM – 8:30AM
    • Where: 4 Sassafras Pier Erie, PA
      • Meet in the lobby just outside Monacella Massage & Kinesiology before heading to the Bayfront Walking Trail as a group.
      • No registration necessary! Show up with your water bottle and comfy walking attire!

Themed Walking Days

  • Step It Up Erie County Kick-off Event
    • When: April 7th, Noon – 1PM
    • Where: Gannon Highmark Events Center (620 Peach St, Erie, PA 16501)

  • Arbor Day Walk & Learn (led by Lake Erie Arboretum at Frontier Park)
    • When: April 26th, Noon – about 1:30PM
    • Where: Lake Erie Arboretum at Frontier Park (1501 W 6th St, Erie, PA 16505) 
      • 12PM: Meet at LEAF education center
      • 12:15PM: Guided tour through Frontier Park
      • 1:00PM: Return to LEAF for a small presentation and a free tree

Fun Ways to Get Active


The Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion created the Move Your Way campaign to promote the recommendations from the second edition of the Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans. The campaign encourages consumers to get more physical activity by making the recommendations accessible and achievable.
